Coastal Clean-up-Save the date!

Join us on Saturday Sept 21 from 9am to noon at Save Our Shores, Annual Coastal Cleanup Day returning for its 40th Anniversary. Thank We’ll be at the Lighthouse Field State Beach (also known as Point Santa Cruz) site. It is one of the last open headlands in any California urban area. Surfers, tourists, birds including the Black Swift and wintering Monarch butterflies are drawn to this area. Sea lions populate the offshore rocks.

Lighthouse Field State Beach is also the home to California’s first surfing museum.

Annual CoastalCleanup Day is an amazing opportunity to get outside with your fellow community members, clean up local habitats, and prevent trash from becoming harmful marine debris.

Join us to help protect our beautiful beaches and ocean waters.
